What are veneers?
There are two different types of veneers: composite bonding and porcelain veneers. Composite bonding is typically used for minor issues, and they don’t last as long as porcelain. How long does it take to have veneers fitted?
If you are having a full makeover, then we recommend treatment once per week for five weeks. During the first appointment, Dr Rhode will discuss your concerns about your smile and set to work on designing your new one. When you return for your second appointment, you will then have your new smile created in plastic after your teeth have been prepared. For the third appointment, this smile is then reviewed and tweaked as required before being used to manufacture your veneers. You must then return to have the veneers fitted, and the final appointment will allow us to check them.
During the final appointment, photographs will also be taken, and a care plan will be provided on how to look after your veneers properly so that they last for the recommended 15 years. Throughout your treatment journey, we will keep in touch with you to ensure that you are doing well at home with the treatment, offering advice as required.
